22 октября 2020 года в Беларуси вступил в силу Марракешский договор об облегчении доступа слепых и лиц с нарушениями зрения или иными ограниченными способностями воспринимать печатную информацию к опубликованным произведениям. Документ способствует расширению доступа незрячих и слабовидящих лиц к культурной и другой информации, развитию международного межбиблиотечного сотрудничества и популяризации произведений белорусских авторов.
В случае наличия в учебных группах студентов, которым необходима специализированная литература (рельефно-точечные книги и тифлографические пособия, «говорящие» книги), библиотека университета в рамках межбиблиотечного абонемента, электронной доставки документов может заказать книги из специализированных библиотек республики.
